Stress is a part of life, always has been. It does not have to affect your health. 100-Year-Old people have lived through wars, recessions, The Great Depression – each decade bringing its own change, its own stress, and its own opportunity to live your best life every day.
To Stress Less and Live More, it is important to make Self-Care and Health Care your priority. When you do, you will prevent crisis for as long as possible. When you focus on building health every day, the quality of your life will improve every day.
There are three levels to the Health Care Hierarchy of stress-less people and The 100 Year Lifestyle:
Self-Care – What you do for yourself to keep your mind, body, and spirit healthy and functioning at your highest level. Nobody else can do these things for you. Nobody can sleep or sweat for you. Stress-less people take care of themselves as a lifestyle.
Health Care – What you do for yourself to keep your mind, body, and spirit healthy and functioning at your highest level – utilizing the skills of a trained healthcare professional.
Self-care would be brushing and flossing your teeth. Health Care is seeing a dentist. Self-Care is having good posture. Health Care is having a chiropractor examine and adjust your spine and nervous system.
Crisis Care – What you do for yourself to recover from injury or illness that requires the support of a crisis care or healthcare specialist.
